In a scene that left witnesses completely baffled, two suspected shoplifters tried to turn the situation in their favor after being caught red-handed.
Store staff stopped the pair as they attempted to leave with loads of unpaid items — but instead of admitting defeat, the duo acted as if they were the victims.
Not only did they deny the obvious, but they went a step further…
They pulled out a phone and dialed 911.
The pair insisted the employees were “harassing” them and “violating their rights,” despite clear security footage showing the attempted theft. Shoppers nearby were stunned as the suspects demanded police protection from the very people they were trying to steal from.
When officers arrived, the truth came out immediately. Employees calmly described the events, presented the video evidence, and showed the stolen merchandise still tucked inside the suspects’ bags.
That desperate 911 call?
It blew up in their faces.
Instead of strolling away with stolen goods, they were escorted out in handcuffs — a textbook example of what happens when audacity collides with reality.
Sometimes, entitlement doesn’t just expose you…
It ends up calling the police on your behalf.
