A faint whisper into a phone was all it took for dispatchers to realize someone was in immediate danger. A 911 operator received a call with only a quiet “help” before the line suddenly cut out.
Officers rushed to the listed address within minutes. When they arrived, the home was dark, the front door partially open, and signs inside suggested something was very wrong.
