Trump has given a rough timeline: the rebate checks may start arriving mid-to-late 2026, not 2025 as some might hope
But there are lots of “ifs.” For one, the plan still needs formal approval by Congress.
Also unclear is exactly who qualifies: Trump said “everyone — except high-income people” but hasn’t given numbers or eligibility guidelines (income thresholds, households vs individuals, children etc.).
